Water Playgrounds in Singapore: 16 Free, 12 Paid, by Region (2026)

30 October 2026 ยท 22 min read

TL;DR – The Quick Version

The water at a free playground keeps shorter hours than the park around it. Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is open 24 hours, and its water playground runs seven hours a day, four days a week. We checked 35 water playgrounds on 30 October 2026 with the body that runs each one: 16 free and 12 paid are open, listed by region with water hours, the weekly closing day, price and nearest MRT. Seven are closed or unconfirmed, including Splash-N-Surf until 2027. Browse water play on Jungle.

The most useful fact about a Singapore water playground is that the water has its own timetable. Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park never closes, but its water playground runs from Thursday to Sunday only, 8am to 11am and 4pm to 8pm. Marina Barrage keeps its water off until 12.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Clusia Cove shuts every Monday. Turn up on the wrong day and you get a dry slab of rubber and two disappointed children.

The second fact is about the map. We could not find a single free water playground open in the East today. Tampines 1's rooftop one has carried a "reopening by the end of April" notice, with no year, since April 2025. The East does have Wild Wild Wet and two 80-cent pools with water features, and those are below.

So this is a list built around the timetable. We checked 35 places on 30 October 2026, each against the body that runs it: NParks, PUB, ActiveSG, HDB, the town council, the mall or the operator. Sixteen free ones and 12 paid ones are open. Seven are closed or could not be confirmed, and they are listed at the end so you do not drive to them.

Every entry gives the water hours where they differ from the park, the maintenance day, the price, the ages the operator sets and the nearest station. For free play that stays dry, our list of free mall playgrounds covers the rest.

Quick steer

  • Best free water play: Clusia Cove at Jurong Lake Gardens, where the water moves like a tide.
  • Best for a wet afternoon: Splash @ Kidz Amaze at SAFRA Punggol, an indoor water playground.
  • Cheapest slides: Sengkang Swimming Complex, five slides for 80 cents a child on a weekday.
  • Do not drive to: Splash-N-Surf, Westgate Wonderland or Tampines 1's rooftop.

Before you go. Outdoor water playgrounds close in heavy rain and lightning, and several malls also close them for haze. ActiveSG shut all its facilities for haze in October 2026 and reopened them on 17 October. Pack a towel, a full change of clothes and swim nappies for the under-threes.

North: Woodlands, Yishun, Sembawang and Mandai

Four free places and one paid. Three of the free ones are a short walk from an MRT gantry.

1. Causeway Point Dino Playground, Woodlands

Causeway Point Dino Playground, Woodlands

The Dino Playground is a free wet playground on the Level 7 roof deck of Causeway Point, with slides, spring riders and trampolines. The mall says plainly that it is open to the public, not only to shoppers. Play runs in hourly sessions: 45 minutes of play, then 15 minutes to change, with no extensions and a cap of 80 children. It is for children aged 12 and under.

It closes for maintenance on the second Monday of every month, or on the Tuesday if that Monday is a public holiday, and whenever the weather turns.

Why kids will love it: Slides, springers and trampolines that are all soaking wet, which turns a normal playground into something much louder. Best for ages 3 to 10. The mall recommends swimwear, so pack a costume and a towel, and come on a weekday morning, when a 45-minute session is less of a scramble.

Opening hours: 10am to 9pm daily, in hourly sessions of 45 minutes. Closed for maintenance on the second Monday of every month, and in bad weather.
Price: Free.
Ages: 12 and under.
Nearest MRT: Woodlands (NS9/TE2), next to the mall.

2. Northpoint City wet playground, Yishun

Northpoint City wet playground, Yishun

Northpoint City. Photo: SingaporePoly, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 4.0

Northpoint City's wet playground is on the North Wing roof at Level 4, and the mall describes it as built for water play: splash pads, a tipping bucket and slides. It is free. The dry Shoe House Playground, with a 6-metre slide for ages 5 to 12, is one floor down in the South Wing.

The catch is the hours. The mall publishes none for the wet playground, only that the outdoor playground may close in rain, lightning or haze. It also closed for maintenance on 23 and 24 October 2026, so it does shut for works at short notice.

Why kids will love it: Standing under the bucket, waiting for it to tip, and losing their nerve one second too late. Best for ages 2 to 8. Come in the morning and watch the sky, because a rooftop is the first thing to close when a storm comes in.

3. Canberra Cove and the Bukit Canberra pools, Sembawang

Canberra Cove and the Bukit Canberra pools, Sembawang

Photo: Bukit Canberra Swimming Complex, Jungle listing

ActiveSG lists "Outdoor Canberra Cove" among the amenities at Bukit Canberra. It is the outdoor water play area that sits outside the ticketed swimming complex. ActiveSG publishes no hours and no charge for it, so treat it as free and check the gate on arrival.

Inside the gantry, the swimming complex has an outdoor kids' fun pool and a sheltered kids' wading pool beside the competition and teaching pools. ActiveSG classes it as a normal pool, not a feature pool, so a Singaporean child pays 50 cents on a weekday. The whole complex closes every Wednesday.

Why kids will love it: Free water outside the gate, and for 50 cents a fun pool shallow enough for a three-year-old to stand up in, with a play structure and a slide in the middle. Best for ages 2 to 8. Wednesday is the one day to avoid, as the whole complex is shut.

Opening hours: Swimming complex 8am to 9.30pm, closed every Wednesday unless it is a public holiday. ActiveSG publishes no separate hours for Canberra Cove.
Price: Canberra Cove is free. Pool entry for citizens and PRs is $0.50 a child and $1.00 an adult on weekdays, $0.60 and $1.30 at weekends and on public holidays.
Nearest MRT: Sembawang (NS11), about 310m.

4. The water play park at Canberra Plaza, Sembawang

HDB built Canberra Plaza with gardens, trails and "a water play park for the community to enjoy", and the building is directly connected to Canberra MRT. Underneath are more than 30 shops, services and food outlets, so a soaked child is never far from lunch or a dry T-shirt.

HDB publishes no opening hours for the water play park, and the centre has no website of its own. Maintenance questions go to the managing agent on 6977 7213.

Why kids will love it: Water play that starts a few steps from the train, so the trip there is short enough that nobody is grumpy on arrival. Best for children under 8. Bring a towel and a spare set of clothes in a bag for the ride home.

5. Splish Splash at KidzWorld, Singapore Zoo (paid)

Splish Splash at KidzWorld, Singapore Zoo (paid)

Photo: Singapore Zoo, Jungle listing

Splish Splash is the wet play zone inside KidzWorld, the children's area of Singapore Zoo. Mandai describes it as an always-changing maze of water, and some Ranger Buddies activities give children a code to change the maze pattern themselves. It comes with zoo admission, so it is a reward at the end of a zoo day rather than a trip of its own.

One warning. Mandai has posted that Splish Splash is closed on 30 October 2026 for urgent maintenance, and it publishes no separate hours for the water zone.

Why kids will love it: A maze made of jets that rearranges itself while they are running through it. Best for ages 3 to 8. Save it for the afternoon, after the animals, and bring swimwear and a change of clothes so the walk back to the car park is not a damp one.

Book on Jungle: Singapore Zoo

Address: 80 Mandai Lake Road, Singapore 729826. Google Maps
Opening hours: Zoo daily 8.30am to 6pm, last entry 5pm. Splish Splash closed on 30 October 2026 for urgent maintenance.
Price: Zoo admission for local residents is $39 for an adult and $27 for a child on regular days (Monday to Friday, not public holidays), $44 and $30 on peak days. Tourists pay $49 and $34.
Getting there: There is no MRT station within 2km. Mandai runs shuttle buses, and public buses serve the reserve.

North-East: Sengkang, Punggol, Hougang and Serangoon

Four free places and two paid ones, including SAFRA's indoor water playground. Every one is reachable by train.

6. Compass One Ninja Trail, Sengkang

Compass One Ninja Trail, Sengkang

Compass One. Photo: Exec8, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 4.0

The open roof on Level 4 of Compass One carries the Ninja Trail, 17 play features for children aged 2 to 12. The mall's own photo shows what that means: ground jets, a row of green spray arches, fountains set into the floor and a blue slide. Compass One wishes children "a splashing good time" and asks that a watchful adult stays with them throughout.

It opens 10am to 7pm, three hours shorter than the mall, and closes on the first Monday of every month for maintenance.

Why kids will love it: Running the spray arches end to end, then doing it again backwards, with Sengkang MRT directly below so the trip takes no planning. Best for ages 2 to 10. Come at 10am when it opens, because the rooftop deck is hot by noon.

View on Jungle: Compass One on Jungle

Address: 1 Sengkang Square, Level 4, Compass One, Singapore 545078. Google Maps
Opening hours: 10am to 7pm daily. Closed on the first Monday of each month for maintenance.
Price: Free.
Ages: 2 to 12.
Nearest MRT: Sengkang (NE16), directly below the mall.

7. Buangkok Square Park water park, Hougang

HDB opened this gated water park beside Buangkok Square Mall in March 2024, and it is free. Playpoint, which built it, gives the official name as the Integrated Aquatic Theme Satellite Park. There are two zones. The splash pad is for 6 to 12 year olds, with a dragonfly spray fountain, a spray jet tunnel, pop-up jets and a sphere fountain. A gentler area for 2 to 5 year olds has a shallow Discovery Stream.

Neither HDB nor the town council publishes hours for the water. Parenting sites print hours that disagree with each other, so we print none.

Why kids will love it: The spray jet tunnel, which is exactly as wet as it sounds, and a stream for the toddlers who would rather float a leaf. Best for ages 2 to 12, each in their own zone. Know the walk before you go: it is about 730 metres from Tongkang LRT and about 1.3 kilometres from Buangkok MRT.

View on Jungle: Buangkok Square Park water park

Opening hours: Not published by HDB or the town council.
Price: Free.
Ages: 2 to 5 in the stream zone, 6 to 12 on the splash pad.
Getting there: Tongkang LRT (SW7) is about 730m away. Buangkok (NE15) is about 1.3km.

8. Happy Park, Waterway Point, Punggol

Happy Park is Waterway Point's rooftop wet and dry playground on Level 2. The mall's own description is short: jet sprays and water curtains on the wet side, tunnel slides and a trampoline on the dry side. It gives no hours and no age range.

Punggol's other water playground, on Level 5 of Oasis Terraces, is not running. It is in the closed list at the end.

Why kids will love it: Running through a water curtain, then drying off on the trampoline and going straight back. Best for ages 2 to 7. A younger sibling who refuses the water still gets the slides, so it works for a mixed family. Bring a towel and dry clothes.

Opening hours: The mall publishes no hours for Happy Park.
Price: Free.
Nearest MRT: Punggol (NE17), about 200m.

9. kidzPLAY @ Skygarden, NEX, Serangoon

kidzPLAY @ Skygarden, NEX, Serangoon

NEX. Photo: ProjectManhattan, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 3.0

On the Level 4 roof of NEX, kidzPLAY is a free playground built round a pirate ship, which NEX calls Pirates Sea Adventure. NEX's own amenities page lists it open 11am to 7pm daily. The water area is for children aged 5 to 12, under the rules on NEX's gate sign.

It sits on top of an MRT interchange, which makes it the easiest free water play to reach in the north-east.

Why kids will love it: A pirate ship that soaks the crew. Best for ages 5 to 12, which is older than most splash pads, so it is the one for a seven-year-old who finds toddler fountains boring. Come at 11am when it opens rather than at 3pm.

Address: 23 Serangoon Central, Level 4R, NEX, Singapore 556083. Google Maps
Opening hours: 11am to 7pm daily.
Price: Free.
Ages: 5 to 12 for the water area, under NEX's own rules.
Nearest MRT: Serangoon (NE12/CC13), direct into the mall.

10. Splash @ Kidz Amaze, SAFRA Punggol (paid, indoor)

SAFRA calls this the first indoor water playground in Singapore, and at 23,000 square feet it is the answer to a wet afternoon. The water is temperature regulated. There are five slides and eight play decks joined by climbing structures, and a separate wading area for toddlers. There is no time limit once you are in, and re-entry is allowed with a hand stamp.

The rules are strict, so read them first. Swimwear or 100 per cent polyester only, no cotton. Children who are not toilet trained need swim nappies, sold at the counter for $3. An adult must stay with every child in the pool area, and towels are sold, not lent.

Why kids will love it: Five slides and no weather to worry about. Best for ages 2 to 10. On a school-term weekday it opens at 1pm, so plan it as an after-lunch trip, and bring your own towels to save buying them.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 1pm to 7pm. Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 10am to 9pm. Weekdays in the school holidays 10am to 7pm.

Nearest MRT: Sam Kee LRT (PW1), about 150m.

11. Sengkang Swimming Complex (paid)

Sengkang Swimming Complex (paid)

Photo: Sengkang Swimming Complex, Jungle listing

Sengkang went back to being a feature pool on 1 July 2025, which means five named slides: Sugar Rush, Rainbow Dash, Cotton Candy Bowl, Jelly Lime Loops and Jellybean Swizzle. ActiveSG sets height minimums. The first three need 1.3 metres, the last two 1.2 metres. There is also a sheltered pool, which keeps a swim going through a shower.

It closes all day every Monday. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 6.30am to 8am, only the competition pool is open.

Why kids will love it: Five slides with names that sound like a sweet shop, for less than a dollar. Best for confident swimmers of about 7 and up on the big slides. Measure your child at home first, because a six-year-old turned away at the top of the stairs makes for a long afternoon.

Book on Jungle: Sengkang Swimming Complex

Address: 57 Anchorvale Road, Singapore 544964. Google Maps
Opening hours: 8am to 9.30pm every day except Monday. Closed all day Monday unless it is a public holiday.
Price: Feature pool rates. Citizens and PRs pay $0.80 a child and $1.50 an adult on weekdays, $1.00 and $2.00 at weekends and on public holidays. The standard adult rate is $2.00 and $2.60.
Ages: Slides need a height of 1.2m or 1.3m.
Nearest MRT: Farmway LRT (SW2), about 260m.

East: Pasir Ris, Tampines, Bedok and Changi

No free water playground in the East passed our check. Tampines 1's rooftop one is closed, with no reopening year. What the East does have is Wild Wild Wet, two 80-cent pools with water features and an indoor slide park for older children.

12. Wild Wild Wet, Pasir Ris (paid)

Wild Wild Wet, Pasir Ris (paid)

Photo: Wild Wild Wet, Jungle listing

Wild Wild Wet calls itself one of Singapore's largest water parks: 4 hectares at Downtown East with 14 rides. For young children, two zones matter. Kidz Zone has small versions of the big slides over a landing pool 0.45 metres deep. Sea-The-World has slides into water 0.25 metres deep. Both are only for children under 1.22 metres, with an adult watching.

It is closed every Tuesday. It opens at 12pm on weekdays and 11am at weekends and in the school holidays, and it shuts at 6pm every day, with last admission at 5pm. The year-end holidays, 21 November to 31 December, are charged at peak rates.

Why kids will love it: Their own version of the big slides, sized so the queue is full of other small children. Best for ages 3 to 8 in the kids' zones. Older ones move on to Shiok River, the lazy river, with an adult. A weekday afternoon is both quieter and cheaper.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 12pm to 6pm. Saturday, Sunday, school holidays and public holidays 11am to 6pm. Last admission 5pm. Closed every Tuesday.
Price: Off-peak weekdays, adult $29 and child aged 3 to 12 $21. Peak days, adult $39 and child $29. Under 3 free. NTUC members get 30 per cent off.
Ages: Kidz Zone and Sea-The-World are for children under 1.22m.
Nearest MRT: Pasir Ris (EW1), about 1km.

13. Tampines Swimming Complex, Our Tampines Hub (paid)

Tampines Swimming Complex, Our Tampines Hub (paid)

Photo: Tampines Swimming Complex, Jungle listing

The ActiveSG pool on the Level 6 roof of Our Tampines Hub is a special-features complex. ActiveSG lists a jacuzzi pool, a training pool and a wading pool for young children. It gives no more detail on the children's water features than that, so expect a shallow pool with play features rather than a water park.

It closes all day every Tuesday. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6.30am to 8am, only the training pool is open.

Why kids will love it: A rooftop pool with a view over Tampines and a shallow pool built for small legs. Best for ages 1 to 6. Go on a weekday after 8am, when a child pays 80 cents and the weekend crowd is at work.

Opening hours: 8am to 9.30pm every day except Tuesday. Closed all day Tuesday unless it is a public holiday.
Price: Feature pool rates. Citizens and PRs pay $0.80 a child and $1.50 an adult on weekdays, $1.00 and $2.00 at weekends and on public holidays.
Nearest MRT: Tampines (EW2/DT32), about 370m.

14. Heartbeat@Bedok ActiveSG Swimming Complex (paid)

On Level 5 of Heartbeat@Bedok, ActiveSG lists "1 Interactive Pool with Play Features and Jacuzzi" next to the competition, training and learner pools. It opened on 1 August 2017 and is a special-features pool, so a Singaporean child pays 80 cents on a weekday.

It closes every Thursday. That is a different day from Tampines, which shuts on Tuesday, so between them an east-side family always has one open.

Why kids will love it: A pool built for playing in rather than for swimming lengths, with the learner pool next door for the day they want to try. Best for ages 2 to 8. The pool is on Level 5, so head for the lifts rather than a ground-floor entrance.

Price: Feature pool rates. Citizens and PRs pay $0.80 a child and $1.50 an adult on weekdays, $1.00 and $2.00 at weekends and on public holidays.
Nearest MRT: Bedok (EW5), about 400m.

15. Aqua Adventure, HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir (paid, older children)

HomeTeamNS calls Aqua Adventure Singapore's first indoor water adventure centre. Inside are the Black Hole Slide, the Double Trouble Slide, a Laze Pool, an Aqua Course, Clockwork Towers and a Scramble Net. The public can buy a guest pass.

Read the limits before you promise anything. Every participant must be taller than 125 centimetres and weigh at least 30 kilograms, and the centre opens only at weekends and on public holidays.

Why kids will love it: A dark tube slide and an obstacle course over water, indoors, which is the step up a ten-year-old wants after outgrowing splash pads. Best for children of about 8 and up who meet both limits. HomeTeamNS sells passes on its website, so buy before you go rather than queue.

16. Foggy Bowls at Canopy Park, Jewel Changi Airport (paid)

Foggy Bowls at Canopy Park, Jewel Changi Airport (paid)

Photo: Canopy Park at Jewel Changi Airport, Jungle listing

This is mist, not a soaking. Foggy Bowls are hollows in Canopy Park, on Jewel's top floor, where children vanish into bowls of gentle mist. They come with a Canopy Park ticket, together with the Discovery Slides, the Petal Garden and the Topiary Walk. Canopy Park covers 14,000 square metres under Jewel's glass roof.

The Discovery Slides need a height of 110 centimetres. Other Canopy Park attractions, such as the mazes and nets, are sold as add-ons and keep their own hours.

Why kids will love it: Disappearing into a cloud and jumping out at a parent. Best for ages 2 to 8. Canopy Park sits under Jewel's glass roof, so a downpour does not end the visit, and mist is the gentlest water play on this list.

Two free places and two paid. The West's best free mall water play, at Westgate, closed in February.

17. Clusia Cove, Jurong Lake Gardens

Clusia Cove, Jurong Lake Gardens

Photo: Clusia Cove, Jungle listing

Clusia Cove is a three-hectare water playground in Lakeside Garden, and the water does something no splash pad does. It moves in tidal patterns, surface ripples and directional currents copied from a coastal shore. It runs in a closed loop through a cleansing biotope of plants, an ultraviolet treatment room and an eco-pond, which is a lesson in water treatment children absorb by standing in it.

It closes every Monday for maintenance, and on the Tuesday instead when Monday is a public holiday.

Why kids will love it: Water that pushes them about, which beats water that sits still. Best for ages 2 to 10. Forest Ramble, the nature playgarden, is a short walk away and open until 10pm, so the day plans itself. Drive to the North Carpark on Chinese Garden Road, the nearest to both.

18. Yew Tee water play plaza, Choa Chu Kang

Yew Tee water play plaza, Choa Chu Kang

The Yew Tee Lifestyle Corridor runs under the North-South Line viaduct, from Yew Tee MRT to the Pang Sua Canal. HDB's plan for it promised "a new water play feature for families to enjoy", and the water play plaza in the Heart of Yew Tee section sits beside an oil drum playground built for the town council in August 2024. The viaduct overhead keeps the whole strip in shade.

Nobody publishes hours for the water, and we found no town council page for it.

Why kids will love it: Water play under a railway, where the trains rumble overhead and the sun never reaches. Best for ages 2 to 8. When they are soaked, the oil drum playground next door has tunnels and lookouts to climb. Bring a towel and a change of clothes.

19. Jurong East Swimming Complex (paid)

Jurong East Swimming Complex (paid)

Photo: Jurong East Swimming Complex, Jungle listing

Jurong East opened in 2000 as the first public pool in Singapore to offer a lazy river, a wave pool and fun slides at ordinary prices. ActiveSG lists a wave pool, a lazy river, a kiddy pool and a stream course alongside the competition pool. The competition pool is closed until 31 December 2026, and the family pools are open.

It closes all day every Monday.

Why kids will love it: The lazy river, which carries them round without any effort, and a wave pool that makes the sea feel unnecessary. Best for ages 4 and up with an adult in the deeper water. Note the station: Chinese Garden is the close one, and Jurong East is about 2 kilometres away.

Nearest MRT: Chinese Garden (EW25), about 600m.

20. HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok swimming pool (paid, weekdays only for the public)

HomeTeamNS describes its Bukit Batok pool as a "classic swimming pool playground, perfect water play for the little ones". The public can buy tickets on weekdays only, at most three per person. At weekends and on public holidays only HomeTeamNS and SAFRA members and their guests get in.

Swimming courses run in the pool on Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm, and on Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm.

Why kids will love it: A pool with play structures in it rather than lane ropes, and it is quiet on a weekday morning because the members are at work. Best for ages 2 to 8. A public child ticket is $1.73, which makes it a cheap weekday plan in a part of the West with no free water play.

21. Far East Organization Children's Garden, Gardens by the Bay

The children's garden at Gardens by the Bay is free and built for children 12 and under. Adults are allowed in only with a child. There are two water areas. The Toddler Play Zone, for ages 1 to 5, has water tunnels and a fish fountain. Water Play, for ages 6 to 12, uses motion sensors that set off sequences of water effects as children move.

In term time it opens only from Thursday to Sunday. In the school holidays it opens from Tuesday to Sunday. The water stops at 6.30pm. Since 26 March 2026, the entrance on the Waterfront Promenade has been closed, so use the new one near the Sun Pavilion.

Why kids will love it: Water that reacts to them, so every child thinks they set it off. Best for ages 1 to 12, split by zone. The Rainforest Tree Houses, a 130-metre trail of ropes and ladders, are next door for the 6 to 12s. Park at Satay by the Bay, the nearest car park.

22. Marina Barrage water playground

The dam that turned Marina Bay into a reservoir has a grass roof, and below it a free water playground. The roof and the public areas are open 24 hours. The water playground is not. It runs from 12.30pm to 9pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 9am to 9pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

PUB closes it without notice in heavy rain, in a lightning alert or for urgent repairs, and suggests calling the information counter on 6514 5959 before you set off. Its annual maintenance closure, from 15 September to 15 October 2026, is over. Pets are allowed outdoors here, but not in the water playground.

Why kids will love it: A grass roof they are allowed to run up, then the jets downstairs to cool off. Best for ages 2 to 10. Come on a Tuesday, Thursday or weekend morning, because a Monday morning visit finds the water off.

23. Jacob Ballas Children's Garden, Singapore Botanic Gardens

The Waterplay area at Jacob Ballas has reopened at about 500 square metres, more than three times its old size. NParks lists mist zones, wading pools, jets with different spray patterns and heights, umbrella fountains and a splash bucket. There is a changing area, and NParks asks families to wash up before the 7pm close.

The Tree House is shut. Termites damaged the timber, and NParks hopes to open a new one around the end of 2027. The garden closes on Mondays, and adults are admitted only with a child.

Why kids will love it: A splash bucket, mist to run through and wading pools in the shade of real trees, which is a cooler place to get wet than a rooftop. Best for ages 2 to 12. Leave scooters and bikes at home, as they are not allowed in.

24. Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park water playground

This is the entry to read twice. NParks runs the water playground on Thursday to Sunday and public holidays only, from 8am to 11am and again from 4pm to 8pm. The park itself, and its inclusive and adventure playgrounds, are open 24 hours.

The water comes from the park's cleansing biotope, where living plants strip impurities from recycled water. Children work sluice gates and watch the water run down slopes, through channels and round obstacles, with foam structures to climb. Two bridges in the park are closed for works, one until 4 December and one until 31 December 2026.

Why kids will love it: Opening a gate and watching the water they released chase itself downhill. Younger children stay in the puddles while older ones play engineer. Best for ages 2 to 10. Come at 8am on a Saturday for the emptiest session.

25. PLAY@HeightsPark, Toa Payoh

PLAY@HeightsPark, Toa Payoh

Photo: PLAY@HeightsPark, Jungle listing

Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council opened PLAY@HeightsPark on 28 May 2022 and calls it the largest mega playpark in central Singapore. It is five themed playgrounds in one: Maritime Magic, Beach Bonanza, Kids Kampong, Trampoline Tempo, and Skates and Scooters. Playpoint, which built it, describes the water park as nautical-themed, with jets spraying everywhere and a wavy channel where children float toy boats from one end to the other.

The town council publishes no hours for the water.

Why kids will love it: Sailing a toy boat down a channel of water, then the rolling bridge, a long wave of netting that is harder to cross than it looks. Best for ages 3 to 10. Bring a small boat or a bath toy for the channel, and a towel for everything else.

South and Sentosa: HarbourFront and the island

One free place on the mainland and two paid ones on Sentosa. The island's best-known free water play, Splash Tribe's sandcastle zone, is shut until 6 November.

26. VivoCity Sky Park water feature, HarbourFront

On the Level 3 roof of VivoCity, the Sky Park has a shallow water feature that VivoCity says spans the area of four Olympic-sized swimming pools, beside an amphitheatre. It is free and open to anyone. VivoCity calls it a water feature, not a playground, and publishes no separate hours for it, so the mall's 10am to 10pm are the outer limit.

The open-air Play Court, a dry playground, is one floor down on Level 2.

Why kids will love it: Paddling in a rooftop pool the size of four swimming pools, with Sentosa across the water. Best for ages 1 to 6. Come before 10.30am or after 5pm, because there is little shade, and bring a towel and a hat.

Opening hours: Mall 10am to 10pm daily. No separate hours for the water feature.

27. Adventure Cove Waterpark, Resorts World Sentosa (paid)

Adventure Cove Waterpark, Resorts World Sentosa (paid)

Photo: Adventure Cove Waterpark, Jungle listing

Adventure Cove has the widest spread of any paid park here. For small children there is Seahorse Hideaway, a wading pool with squirting seahorses, and Big Bucket Treehouse, with tipping buckets. For older ones there is the Adventure River through 14 themed zones, the Bluwater Bay wave pool, Rainbow Reef for snorkelling among 20,000 reef creatures, and slides from Riptide Rocket to Spiral Washout.

Resorts World Sentosa's calendar shows it open every day from 10am to 5pm through November and December 2026, closing at 4pm on 19 December. Tickets are priced by date.

Why kids will love it: Snorkelling among thousands of reef fish, then floating down a river that passes through a grotto. Best for ages 4 and up, with Seahorse Hideaway for the youngest. Book on the Resorts World site for a ticket that stays valid for 7 days from the date you choose.

Opening hours: 10am to 5pm daily in November and December 2026, except 19 December, 10am to 4pm. Saturday 31 October 10am to 8pm.
Price: Resorts World Sentosa prices tickets by date and says they start from $35. Child tickets are for ages 4 to 12, adult tickets for 13 and over.
Getting there: HarbourFront (NE1/CC29), then the Sentosa Express from VivoCity to Resorts World station. Parking is at the B1 East Car Park.

28. Splash Tribe and HydroDash, The Palawan @ Sentosa (paid)

Splash Tribe and HydroDash, The Palawan @ Sentosa (paid)

HydroDash. Photo: HydroDash, Jungle listing

Splash Tribe is a family beach club at The Palawan with a sandcastle-themed play zone and an infinity-edge pool with waterslides. The play zone is closed for maintenance from 12 October to 6 November 2026. The pool, tables and daybeds stay open, and Sentosa's page says there are no fixed session prices during the closure, only food and drink to buy.

HydroDash, in the lagoon next door, is a floating aqua park of more than 30 inflatable obstacles. Every player must be at least 6 years old, at least 110 centimetres tall and able to swim. A 6-year-old needs an adult alongside, one to one.

Why kids will love it: Climbing an inflatable tower in the sea, then sliding off it on purpose. HydroDash is best for confident swimmers of about 7 and up. Splash Tribe suits all ages once the sandcastle reopens, and children under 1.3 metres who cannot swim well must wear a life jacket in its pool, except on the slides.

Book on Jungle: HydroDash and Splash Tribe
Website: Sentosa, Splash Tribe and Sentosa, HydroDash
Address: 54 Palawan Beach Walk, The Palawan @ Sentosa, Singapore 098233. Google Maps
Opening hours: Splash Tribe Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11am to 7pm, Tuesday 2pm to 7pm, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 9.30am to 8pm. HydroDash Monday to Wednesday 12pm to 6pm, Thursday and Friday 11am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm, last entry 5pm. Sandcastle play zone closed until 6 November 2026.
Price: HydroDash from $30 for one hour. Splash Tribe's session fees could not be confirmed online, because its own site blocked our check.
Ages: HydroDash 6 and over, at least 110cm, and able to swim.
Getting there: Sentosa Express to Beach Station, then a few minutes on foot. Bus 123 also stops at Beach Station.

Closed, or not confirmed

These seven still appear on other lists. On 30 October 2026, none of them could be confirmed open with the body that runs it.

  • Splash-N-Surf, Kallang Wave Mall. Closed. The Lazy River and Stingray shut on 31 December 2025, and the Kids Water Playground on 31 March 2026. CapitaLand expects a new rooftop wet and dry playscape in the first quarter of 2027. Our Kallang Wave Mall guide has the detail.
  • Westgate Wonderland, Jurong East. Closed since 17 February 2026, water play area included. Westgate's concierge page says only to stay tuned. See our Westgate guide.
  • Tampines 1 rooftop wet playground. The mall's page still says it is under maintenance and will reopen "by the end of April", with no year. That notice dates from April 2025. Treat it as closed.
  • Oasis Terraces water playground, Punggol. HDB's page for the building no longer mentions it, and we found no notice from the operator that it runs. The dry playground on Level 4 is covered in our Oasis Terraces guide.
  • Jem, Jurong East. Jem's own page says Jem Play has "dry and water play", but gives no hours and does not say where the water is or whether it runs. Ask at Level 5 before anyone changes into swimwear. See our Jem guide.
  • Oasis Waterpark @ Nee Soon East, Yishun. Nee Soon Town Council's website refused our check, and the hours printed on parenting sites disagree three ways. We will list it when the town council confirms.
  • Splash at buds by Shangri-La. Shangri-La's website sits behind a bot check, so we could not re-check its public rates or session times.

Two short closures sit inside the list above: Splish Splash at the zoo is shut on 30 October 2026, and Splash Tribe's sandcastle zone until 6 November.

How we checked

Every place was checked on 30 October 2026 against the body that runs it: NParks, PUB, ActiveSG, HDB, the town council, SAFRA, HomeTeamNS, the mall or the operator. Where a page publishes no hours or no price, the entry says so rather than borrowing a figure from a parenting site. Nearest stations come from OneMap coordinates, measured in a straight line.
