The biggest park in Punggol is shut, and the roof of a shopping mall has become the town's free outdoor play. NParks closed Punggol Waterway Park, Coney Island Park and Punggol Point Park from 11 August 2026 to 31 December 2027. Happy Park, the wet-and-dry playground on Level 2 of Waterway Point, is still open 10am to 7pm, free, and in October 2026 it is dressed up as a bear.
Waterway Point is a Frasers mall of 203 shops on four floors, two of them basements, built over Punggol MRT in 2016. The parents' floor is Level 2, West Wing. Walk the corridor from #02-01 to #02-08 and you pass a Chinese school, a tuition centre, art, science, English reading, Heguru and a music school, with a preschool, a kids' barber and two paediatric clinics beyond.
That is 10 enrichment and tuition tenants, and 2 are on Jungle with a booking link: ARTARY and Edvox Music and Dance. The other 8 appear below as not yet listed, with their unit, hours and whatever price they publish, because nobody else writes them down.
The mall's own family page gives Happy Park one sentence and no hours, lists its nursing rooms and family lots as icons without a level, and never mentions the classes. This guide covers every kids' reason to go, place by place. For the rest of the town, read our guide to things to do with kids in Punggol.
Quick steer
Waterway Point has one free playground, on the roof, and no indoor one since Wonderland closed and became a shop. The paid indoor play is next door at Punggol Town Square, so it is included here.
Happy Park is the rooftop playground on Level 2, outside the West Wing, and it is the reason Punggol parents know this mall. One side is wet: a shallow lake with lily-pad stepping stones, water curtains, jet sprays and low fountains for toddlers. The other is dry: tunnel slides, short slides, trampolines, a hammock, a low rope web and padded slopes with tunnels to crawl through. Shade sails cover most of it.
From 18 September to 1 November 2026 it wears a Bellygom makeover for the mall's Summer Day Out, with a giant inflatable at The Plaza and a bouncy zone at Village Square from 19 to 25 October, where $30 spent in one receipt buys a 25-minute session.
Why kids will love it: Running from the fountains to the slide and back until they are soaked. Best for ages 2 to 7. Bring a towel and dry clothes; the dry side gets wet by noon. Go before 11am or after 5pm in the heat.

Why kids will love it: Casting their own figure and painting it badly. Best for ages 4 to 10. Weekday afternoons are empty; Saturday after lunch is not.

The rest of Level 2 does not need a numbered entry. Toys"R"Us at #02-27 is open 10am to 10pm and runs Calm Hours with dimmed lights and no music for children who need them. Timezone at #02-19 has moved into a larger unit with two party rooms, and Fun Claw at #02-33/34 is a room of claw machines.
Kiddy Palace at #02-11 and Cotton On Kids at #02-09 cover clothes and nappies, and QB House Kids at #02-16 cuts a child's hair without an appointment. Two paediatric clinics share the corridor: Thomson Paediatric Centre at #02-28, weekday mornings and afternoons, and Raffles Children's Centre at #02-29, which opens Saturday mornings.
Ten tenants in the mall's Schools category teach children, nine of them on the Level 2 West Wing corridor. Two are on Jungle and come first. Two publish their fees, ARTARY and Mind Stretcher. Two offer a free trial.

The Punggol campuses cost more than the rest: $55.60 a class for Play and Level 1, $57.80 for Levels 2 to 4, less 7 to 13 per cent for paying a term or more upfront. The trial, usually $53.50, is free while the current promotion runs.

Why kids will love it: A violin of their own in the first month, and a slot in the school's annual Talento concert. Best for ages 4 to 12 who want an instrument rather than music and movement.

Waterway Point has 100 or so places to eat and two real children's deals: a high chair at PUTIEN and a Sunday kids' meal at Guzman y Gomez. Swensen's has a kids' menu. The food court is on the kids' floor.
Cookhouse at #02-20 is the food court, on the same floor as the classes and the playground, with 21 stalls after a month-long renovation in October 2024 that brought in Hwa Heng Beef Noodles. It opens 8am to 10pm, so a 9am Saturday class can start with breakfast. The kampong theme means kueh tutu and muah chee alongside the wanton mee and fish soup.
Why kids will love it: A tray, a straw and a slide 50 metres away. Best for any age. High chairs are at the entrance; the window tables go first at noon.
