The thing Oasis Terraces is famous for is the thing you cannot use. The Level 5 water playground was cordoned off when Little Day Out visited in February 2019, was closed for maintenance in December 2023, and the last dated guide to Punggol's playgrounds, from November 2025, still lists it closed. We found no photo of it running since.
The rest of the building is better than its reputation. HDB built it in 2018 as a neighbourhood centre with a polyclinic, so the five retail floors are stacked around a terraced garden that climbs from the waterway to a rooftop farm on Level 6. The dry playground on Level 4 is free, Kids Clinic on Level 3 opens on Sundays, and Level 5 is a whole floor of enrichment.
It is a small mall. Four of its classes are on Jungle, with a music school, a dance school, a parent-and-child gym and a play cafe, and six more teach drama, taekwondo, clay, science, maths and Chinese without a listing. There is no toy shop. The food is a Koufu food court, a McDonald's and a KFC.
This guide covers every kids' reason to go, place by place, with the unit, the hours and the price. Where a centre publishes no fee we say so rather than guess. For the parks, water play and the library around it, read our guide to things to do with kids in Punggol.
Quick steer
Oasis Terraces has three places to play: two outdoor playgrounds on its terraces, one of which is closed, and one paid indoor play cafe on Level 1. The nearest free alternative is a two-minute walk.
The terraces that give the building its name step up from the Punggol Waterway to Level 6, and the playgrounds sit on them. Level 4 has the dry playground: spring riders, a see-saw and activity panels, sized for toddlers rather than a seven-year-old. Level 5 has the water playground, with spray tunnels, jets and a small wet play structure. Between them are a hammock deck with four netted hammocks and a rain garden with a water-powered spinning sculpture.
The water playground is the catch. It only ever ran at set times, and it has been closed for maintenance since December 2023 with no reopening date published anywhere we could find.
Why kids will love it: Hammocks they can lie in, a slope to run up and, on the right day, a tunnel that sprays. Best for ages 2 to 5. Go after 5pm; the terraces have no shade at noon.

Photo: Merry Haus, Jungle listing
Merry Haus at #01-34/35 is a play cafe: a ball pool, a slide, a trampoline, mega blocks, a pretend-play kitchen and a claw machine in one air-conditioned room, with a cafe at the door selling curry chicken rice, waffles and hot chocolate. Entry is from $12 a child. A ten-hour package is $79, and a $20 food and drink bill buys one hour of play.
Socks are compulsory, and the cafe seats are for paying customers only. Google reviews from April 2025 complain about both rules, so read them before you go.
Why kids will love it: A trampoline, a ball pool and a toy kitchen within reach of a parent's coffee. Best for ages 1 to 6. Weekday afternoons are quiet; Saturday after lunch is not.

Across Punggol Drive, the HDB blocks of Waterway Brooks have the free play that Oasis Terraces lacks for anyone over five. The playground at Block 678C is built into a grass slope: climbing bulges, a tiled climbing route, a bouldering section, two embankment slides and a small trampoline. Block 678 next to it has a smaller playground for younger children, and the car park roof at 676B has a climbing cube and a steel web.
Why kids will love it: Scrambling up a hill on holds instead of stairs, then sliding back down it. Best for ages 6 to 12 on the slope and 2 to 5 at Block 678. Open 24 hours and unshaded, so morning or evening.

The small things inside the building are medical rather than retail. Kids Clinic at #03-11 is a paediatric practice that takes walk-ins, opens on Sunday mornings and on Friday evenings until 8.30pm, and closes on Saturdays. Punggol Polyclinic occupies Level 2, and AllSmiles Dental Care is at #03-10. POPULAR at #03-15/16 is the stationery stop. There is no toy shop, no kiddy ride and no kids' salon.
Ten enrichment centres teach children here, four of them on Jungle with a booking link. Level 5 is the kids' floor, where Kidz Education City runs Dancepointe, ACT 3 and Color Palette as one consortium. Two centres publish a trial price and one offers a free trial.

Photo: My Gym, Jungle listing
My Gym at #03-02/03/04 is the Punggol branch of the American children's fitness franchise, and it starts younger than anything else in the building: Young Waddlers from 7 months, Waddlers from 12 months, Gymsters from 19 months, then Terrific Tots, Mighty Mites and Whiz Kids up to age 8. Classes are structured play on gym apparatus with songs and a coach.
The trial is $65, or two weekday trial classes for $108, for first-timers only. Term fees are not published. The same unit runs the Jump Start and Stamford Scholars student care.
Why kids will love it: A padded gym where a one-year-old is allowed to climb everything. Best for ages 1 to 4. Book the weekday pair of trials; it is the cheaper way to find out if your child takes to it.

Nobody at Oasis Terraces runs a kids-eat-free deal. The useful places are the food court on Level 4, the McDonald's on Level 2 and the KFC on Level 1, all with a children's meal under $6.
Gourmet Paradise at #04-01 is a Koufu food court on the floor with the dry playground and the link bridge to the polyclinic, open 7.30am to 10pm daily. The stalls are the Punggol standard: ban mian and fish soup, mixed vegetable rice, chicken rice, mee hoon kueh, steamed dishes, Japanese, Western, hotpot and the halal Al-Aqsa Bistro. Nothing is priced for children, but a bowl of fish soup splits two ways.
Why kids will love it: Choosing their own stall, then a playground on the same floor. Best for any age. Come before 11.30am; the polyclinic crowd fills it by noon.
