Hi Roller, the Level 5 skating rink that put E!Hub on every things-to-do list since 2019, has gone. It is no longer in Downtown East's own tenant directory, and Hi Roller's site now lists only its West and Hougang academies. If you are driving to Pasir Ris for the disco rink, do not.
The rest of Downtown East is in better shape than the rink. NTUC Club's leisure complex at 1 Pasir Ris Close opened on 5 November 2000, added Wild Wild Wet in 2004, the five-storey E!Hub in 2008 and D'Resort in 2015. In 2026 the two malls, E!Hub and E!Avenue, hold more kids' tenants than any shopping centre in the east outside Tampines.
What it does not have is a free playground, a food court or a nursing room the mall itself advertises. Downtown East with kids is a place you come to for a ticket or a class, and the ticket is cheaper than the equivalent in town.
This guide covers every kids' reason to go, place by place, with the unit, the hours and the price. Where a centre publishes no fee we say so rather than guess. For the park, the library and the free playgrounds nearby, read our guide to things to do with kids in Pasir Ris and Simei.

Tayo Station on Level 3 of E!Hub. Photo: Tayo Station, Jungle listing
Tayo Station at #03-112 is a 10,000 square foot indoor playground themed on Tayo the Little Bus, run by the same group as Pororo Park at Marina Square. The draw is Tayo's Road Circuit, where children drive mini buses around a road layout with traffic lights, next to Gani's Playground, a three-storey climb with slides and tunnels, the Cliff Ball Pool with a small climbing wall, and Poco's Hinoki Play, a sensory pit of cypress wood cubes for the smallest.
Tickets are for one child and one adult, timed at two hours, and the price list on Tayo's site is dated July 2026: $27.90 on weekdays and $31.90 on weekends and holidays. An extra adult is $8, an extra 30 minutes is $5, and a baby under 9 months is $10. The three-hour online ticket must be bought a day ahead. Grip socks are compulsory and sell for $3.50 at the counter, and adults need full socks too.
Why kids will love it: Driving a bus of their own around a road with real traffic lights, then losing an hour in the ball pool. Best for ages 2 to 7. Go on a weekday after 10.30am, when the two-hour clock only starts when you walk in, and bring your own socks.

Photo: Upwall Climbing, Jungle listing
Upwall Climbing at #01-105 is a 12 metre high-wall gym with 15 auto-belay lanes, 10 top-rope lanes and 8 lead lanes, which makes it the easiest climbing in the east for a child who has never tied in: the auto-belays need no belayer.
A single entry is $25 and lasts all day, a 5-pass is $100 and a 10-pass $180, both shareable within 6 months. Children 12 and under must have an adult with them, and the adult who is not climbing buys a $10 supervision ticket, covering up to three children. The What's UP introductory class is $60 for one session or $200 for four, and the class ticket lets the child stay on the walls for the rest of the day.
Why kids will love it: Clipping into an auto-belay and topping out a 12 metre wall on their first visit. Best for ages 6 to 12. Book the What's UP class for a first-timer; the $25 pass is for the child who already knows what to do.

PlayOn at E!Avenue #01-339/345 to 347 is a digital sports park with 26 experiences, reviewed by Little Day Out in September 2026: a football cage, archery and shooting lanes, a tennis trainer, digital bowling, a VR flight simulator that seats two, eight console gaming capsules and a floor of air hockey and pool tables.
Little Day Out's September 2026 review puts the ticket at $29 for two hours on weekdays and $35 at peak times, with party packages from $799. Some stations have minimum height or weight rules, so a four-year-old will not get every machine.
Why kids will love it: Scoring in the football cage with the stats on a screen, then flying a VR glider next to a parent. Best for ages 7 to 14. Check the height rules at the counter before paying for a younger sibling.

Wild Wild Wet is the water park at the back of the complex, open since 2004 and the largest in Singapore, with the Kidz Zone and Professor's Playground for the under-eights beside the slides for the rest. The day pass on the park's own site is $21 for a child aged 3 to 12 off-peak and $29 at peak, $29 and $39 for an adult, with under-threes free and 30 per cent off for NTUC members.
Off-peak is a weekday outside school and public holidays. The hours were updated in September 2026: 12pm to 6pm on weekdays, 11am to 6pm on weekends, school and public holidays, last admission 5pm, and closed on Tuesdays outside the holidays.
Why kids will love it: A splash bucket that dumps on their head every few minutes, and a slide they are finally tall enough for. Best for ages 3 to 10. Go off-peak and arrive at noon; the queues at 2pm on a Saturday are the whole of Pasir Ris.

The small things do not need a numbered entry.
Nine enrichment centres and a swim school operate across the two malls, seven of them on Level 3 of E!Hub. The two on Jungle come first. The rest are marked not yet listed, with the unit, hours and whatever price the operator publishes, which in most cases is none.

Photo: Cristofori Music School, Jungle listing
Cristofori at #03-110 is the Pasir Ris branch of Singapore's largest piano retailer's music school, which is why the lesson rooms have real Cristofori and Bechstein uprights rather than keyboards. Lessons are one-to-one in piano, guitar, violin, drums and ukulele, with music theory and production for older students, and the branch has a trial booking form on its site. It is open seven days, until 9pm on weekdays. Cristofori publishes no fees online, for this branch or any other.
Why kids will love it: A room with a proper piano and a teacher who lets them bang it before the scales start. Best for ages 5 to 12 who want an instrument rather than a music-and-movement class.

Happy Fish runs its Pasir Ris lessons in a 25 metre indoor pool inside Wild Wild Wet, heated to 30 to 32 degrees and salt-chlorinated, which is the reason to pick it over the public pool at Pasir Ris Sport Centre for a baby. Classes run from 4 months: Baby to 23 months, Toddler 2 to 4, Kids 5 to 12, with ladies-only and special-needs lessons too.
It is the one centre in the complex that publishes every price: a $50 trial, $198.93 for a 5-lesson Foundation Pack and $397.85 for 10, both $39.79 a lesson, and private lessons from $109. Enrolled students get a renewable 4-month Wild Wild Wet season pass with two accompanying adults, which on its own is worth the term.
Why kids will love it: Learning to float in warm water, then walking out into a water park they now get into free. Best for ages 1 to 8. The pool is closed on Tuesdays with the park.

S.A.M at #03-105 is the Singapore maths enrichment franchise for ages 4 to 12, taught by the concrete-pictorial-abstract method with heuristics and word problems rather than drilling, and each child works to an individual plan at a low ratio. Placement is by a booked assessment. Fees are not published online for this or any S.A.M centre.
Why kids will love it: Maths with blocks and pictures before numbers, at their own pace. Best for ages 4 to 9, before the PSLE-prep tuition centres take over.

Berries at #03-111 is the Chinese language school that most Pasir Ris primary parents already know, teaching to the MOE syllabus with the drama and storytelling that the brand built its name on. It is open seven days, until 9.30pm on weekdays and from 8am at the weekend, which tells you how full the timetable is.
Fees are not published, and the school's own site was unreachable at the time of writing, so the hours here come from the mall's directory.
Why kids will love it: Chinese taught as a story to act out rather than a list to copy. Best for ages 5 to 10.

Downtown East has no food court, which surprises parents who remember one. Of the 60-odd food outlets in the mall's October 2026 directory, one has a published children's deal. The rest is fast food, dessert and the kind of casual chain that has high chairs but no kids' menu.
HaHaHotpot at E!Avenue #02-333 is Singapore's first halal-certified hotpot buffet, and its own site says children aged 0 to 6 eat free, with a time limit of 90 minutes. Eatbook's August 2026 tasting put the weekday lunch at $35.90++ an adult, and the restaurant's site lists a student and senior rate of $35.50. Children aged 6 to 12 pay a reduced rate the restaurant does not publish online. It is open 12pm to 10pm daily.
Why kids will love it: Dropping their own fishballs into a mild broth and fishing them out with a ladle. Best for ages 3 to 10. Book a weekday lunch; the dinner price is higher and the 90-minute clock is the same.
