Wisteria Mall has three heated swimming pools in its basement and not one playground. OtterSwim keeps the water at around 32 degrees in two units at #B1-06, which makes the mall the only place in Yishun where a four-month-old can have a swimming lesson in a thunderstorm. Nothing else in the building is built for free play.
The mall opened on 28 July 2018 under The Wisteria condominium, at the corner of Yishun Ring Road and Yishun Avenue 4. It is a two-floor neighbourhood mall, 67 shops in all, and 11 of them teach children something. The mall calls that cluster WisKids and gives it most of Basement 1.
That is the case for Wisteria Mall with kids. You come for a swim, a piano lesson or a taekwondo class, eat at Koufu or KFC, buy the groceries at FairPrice Finest and go home. Northpoint City, one MRT stop away, has the water playground, the library and the toy shops.
This guide covers every kids' reason to go, place by place, with the unit, the hours and the price. Where a centre publishes no fee we say so rather than guess. For the parks, pools and playgrounds around the mall, read our guide to things to do with kids in Yishun.
Quick steer
There is no playground inside Wisteria Mall, free or paid. The mall's own directory lists two things under Entertainment, an arcade and a row of kiddy rides, and we include the nearest free playground so you know what you are walking to.
Cow Play Cow Moo at #B1-02 is the basement arcade, and the only thing in the mall a child can do without a term fee. It is claw machines, ticket redemption games and a prize counter, run on a stored-value card. It opens at 11am and stays open until 11pm, an hour after the mall, every day of the week.
The chain does not publish its card or credit prices online. Birthday parties are bookable for 10 to 20 children. A replacement member card is $4.
Why kids will love it: Winning a plush from a claw machine on the third try, and the ticket counter at the end. Best for ages 6 to 12. Set a card limit before you walk in; the toddler zone is small and the machines are not.

Yishun Park is the 15-hectare park across Yishun Ring Road from the mall, bounded by Yishun Avenue 4, Yishun Central and Yishun Avenue 11. Its Nature Playgarden is a free playground built from logs, sand and rope under mature trees rather than plastic, and it is open 24 hours. There is no car park in the park itself; the mall's car park or SAFRA Yishun's are the nearest.
Why kids will love it: Balancing along a log and digging in real sand, then spotting a Common Mormon butterfly on the way out. Best for ages 2 to 8. Go before 10am or after 5pm; there is shade but no air conditioning, and bring a change of clothes for the sand.

The small things that matter to a parent are on both floors. The Kiddy Rides at #B1-K14 are the coin-operated kind, beside the basement escalator. FairPrice Finest at #01-01 is the anchor and opens with the mall at 10am. Minmed Clinic at #01-09 and Faith Clinic at #01-11 are the GPs, Q & M Dental at #B1-10 is the dentist, and 7-Eleven at #01-49 is the emergency snack.
Eleven tenants sit in the directory's WisKids category, nine of them in the basement. Four are on Jungle and come first, six more are bookable kids' classes, and three tuition brands share one unit. One offers a free trial lesson, two a free assessment.

Photo: OtterSwim Aquatic, Jungle listing
OtterSwim at #B1-06 is the reason to know this mall exists: a swim school with three heated pools across two basement units, the water kept at around 32 degrees, and a maximum of four children per class. Programmes run from Baby Otter at 3 months with a parent in the water, through Otter for 3 to 6 and Skill Development for 4 to 12, to SwimSafer stages and a squad pathway.
It publishes its prices, which no other centre in the mall does. A term of 10 lessons plus 2 replacements is $470 on weekdays and $550 at weekends, a four-lesson month is $208 or $228, private one-to-one is $320 for four, and registration is $50 once.
Why kids will love it: Warm water, a coach who knows their name by week two and a lane to themselves on a weekday afternoon. Best for ages 1 to 8. No trial is published, so book a first month rather than a term if your child has never been in a pool.

Photo: Cristofori Music School, Jungle listing
Cristofori at #B1-15 has been in the mall since it opened in 2018 and is one of more than 30 branches of Singapore's largest music school chain. Lessons are one-to-one on piano, guitar, drums, violin and voice, with two exam routes: classical ABRSM grades or Rockschool for the child who wants to play drums rather than Chopin. It is closed on Mondays and opens at noon on weekdays.
A trial lesson is bookable through the school's online form. Term fees are not published. In 2023 the school offered free piano rental to families paying four terms in advance; ask whether that still stands.
Why kids will love it: A drum kit they are allowed to hit, and a Rockschool grade instead of scales. Best for ages 5 and up who want an instrument rather than a music-and-movement class. Book the trial for a Saturday morning before the 9am slots fill.

Photo: My English School, Jungle listing
My English School at #B1-12 is the chain's Khatib centre, one of 17, and the English enrichment school in the building. The Reading programme takes children from N1 to K2 through phonics and early reading, and the Primary programme runs P1 to P6 in step with the MOE syllabus. It opens on Wednesday afternoons and closes on Mondays and Tuesdays, which suits a family whose weekend is already taken by swimming.
The first step is a free assessment, booked online. Term fees are not published.
Why kids will love it: A phonics lesson that ends in reading a real book aloud, and a teacher who notices when they stop guessing. Best for ages 4 to 8. Book the assessment for a weekday afternoon; weekend mornings are the full ones.

Photo: Taekwondonomics, Jungle listing
Taekwondonomics at #B1-11, which trades here as Grand Taekwondonomics, has been in the mall since day one and is the only sport in the building apart from the pool. It is affiliated to the Singapore Taekwondo Federation and runs three tiers: Super Junior for 3 to 5, Kids for 6 to 14 and a teens and adults class from 15. Classes are seven to eight students, grouped by age, belt and behaviour.
It closes on Wednesdays and opens at 2pm on other weekdays. Fees and a trial offer are not published; the branch phone is 6262 0733.
Why kids will love it: Kicking a pad as hard as they like and being praised for it, then a belt to show for it. Best for ages 4 to 10 who need to run before they can sit. Saturday 9am is the quiet slot.

The Academy of Dance at #01-35/36 is the one enrichment centre upstairs, a Royal Academy of Dance syllabus school with a second branch in Tampines. Baby Gems is a one-year programme for three and four-year-olds written by the founder; from there the RAD graded ballet classes run from Grade 1 to Grade 8, with jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary alongside and a competition team for the serious ones. Fees, trial and hours are not published online.
Why kids will love it: Pink shoes, a proper barre and a certificate with a crown on it by Grade 1. Best for ages 3 to 8 who respond to a syllabus. It is not yet on Jungle; call before you come.

ANASFA at #B1-09 teaches the Indian classical arts, which no other mall in the north does: Bharatanatyam dance, Carnatic vocal and tabla, in classes of six to eight students to one teacher, with every lesson filmed so the child can review it at home. It opened in early 2023 and stages performances for its students. It has no website of its own; the mall's directory page is the only listing.
Why kids will love it: Learning the hand gestures of a dance their grandparents know, and a stage to perform it on. Best for ages 5 to 12. Fees are not published; ask at the unit on a weekend morning when classes are running.

The Literacy programme runs from 2.5 to 8 in two stages, Reading Foundations and Champion Readers, then Headstart to Primary 1 for K2 children and Primary School English from P1 to P6. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and opens at 1pm on other weekdays.
Why kids will love it: Not the point at four; the point is reading a shop sign unprompted by six. Best for ages 3 to 7. The complimentary assessment is the way in and is booked online.

Matrix Math is the maths specialist, in two units at #B1-16 and #B1-24, one of 12 branches across the island. It takes children from K1 Preschool Math through every primary level, with a P4 fractions intensive, to Secondary 4, and backs the classes with a self-learning video portal. It is the centre to try when the school report says the problem is the word problems. Fees and hours are not published; enquiries go by WhatsApp.
Why kids will love it: A model-drawing method that makes a P3 word problem into a picture. Best for Primary 2 to 6. Weekday evenings are the quieter slots.

Wang Learning Centre at #01-33/34 teaches Chinese, from N2 to Secondary 4, following the MOE syllabus, with a separate Chinese creative writing course for the composition paper. Classes are capped at 12 and a trial lesson is available. It is the one tuition centre here with a fee we could find: $513 for 10 preschool lessons of 90 minutes, rising to $729 for 10 Secondary 4 lessons of two hours, per an undated directory listing. It is closed on Mondays.
Why kids will love it: Hanyu pinyin games at N2 and a composition that finally gets a B. Best for ages 5 to 12. Confirm the fee by phone; the figures are from a listing site, not the centre.

It covers pre-primary, primary and secondary in English, maths, science and Chinese, in groups of four to eight, and it is the one centre in the mall that advertises a free trial lesson. Fees are posted as images on its pricing page rather than as text, so call for the figure.
Why kids will love it: Not the point. Parents will like the free trial and a class small enough that the quiet child gets asked. Best for Primary 3 upwards.

Two more names sit in the WisKids directory without a public timetable we could verify: i-Learning at #B1-17, and YueXueLe and Oodles Math, which share #B1-21 with I Can Read. Ask at the units.
One correction to the listings. OtterSwim's Jungle page gives #B1-21 and #B1-06; the mall's October 2026 directory and OtterSwim's own site put the school at #B1-06, and #B1-21 is now I Can Read.
One of the eleven offers a free trial lesson and two a free assessment. For the island-wide list, read our guide to free trial classes for kids in Singapore. Browse Wisteria Mall classes on Jungle.
Wisteria Mall has 26 food outlets in its October 2026 directory, 15 on Level 1 and 11 in the basement. None runs a kids-eat-free deal; no tenant here appears on the Little Day Out or MissLobang lists from August and September 2026. KFC has the one published children's meal.
Koufu at #B1-01 is the food court and, with FairPrice Finest, the anchor the mall was leased around. It is the basement's answer to a 6pm hand-off between a swimming lesson and a taekwondo class: a hawker mix of noodles, rice, soup and drinks at hawker prices, with the swim school three doors away. Koufu does not publish a stall list or prices for this outlet.
Why kids will love it: A bowl of noodle soup they can eat with a fork, and a drinks stall for the Milo. Best for any age. Go before 6.30pm on a weekday; the basement classes let out together at 7pm.
