Experience Gifts for Kids in Singapore: 22 Classes and Workshops (2026)

12 October 2026 · 11 min read

TL;DR – The Quick Version

We checked 22 Jungle-listed providers on their own sites on 12 October 2026. Eleven sell a gift card or voucher, and only five of those say how long it lasts. The rest sell a trial, a pack or a one-off workshop that works just as well as a present, from a $30 art trial to a $428 pack of ten gymnastics classes. Below are the gifts by budget, the options for babies and toddlers, and what to check before you pay. Browse Christmas workshops on Jungle.

A gift card looks like the easy way to give a class. Often it is the hard way. Of the 22 providers in this guide, 11 sell one, and only five say on their own site how long it lasts. Artify Studio's runs out after six months. Wildlings' Nature Playtime credits, which are not a gift card at all, never expire.

The other half of the list sells no gift card, and some of the best presents here come from them: a $99 month of martial arts with the uniform included, a $110 one-day 3D-printing workshop on Christmas Eve, a $45 baby music trial. These are experience gifts for kids in Singapore that a child can actually use, which is more than can be said for most toys by February.

We checked every provider on its own website, booking page or price list on 12 October 2026: what the gift costs, the ages it suits, how to buy it, how long it lasts and whether it works at more than one branch. All 22 are listed on Jungle. Start with your budget, then read the section on babies and toddlers and the checks at the end before you pay.

Most gift cards do not say how long they last. Artify Studio gives six months. CocoArt, PotteryPlease!, Palate Sensations and Objectifs give a year. J2 Terrarium, Clay Clay Pottery, Motion Art Space and Wildlings print no validity period at all, so ask before you buy.

Packs and bundles carry a clock too. Little Splashes' four-class bundle is valid for one month. Lion City Sailors' six-session package lasts two months, and KGA's ten-class pack six months. Give these when the family can start straight away, not in a card in late December.

Pottery takes time to come home. PotteryPlease! says pieces are ready in one to three weeks. Clay Clay Pottery says two to three months. A mug painted at Christmas may arrive after Chinese New Year.

Under $50

These are the gifts for a stocking, a classmate or a godchild you see twice a year. Most are a single session with something to take home.

Artify Studio

Jalan Sultan, Kampong Glam (city)

Ages 4 to 1290 minDrop-offTrial $30

Artify's children's trial is a 90-minute guided class in which the child paints in acrylic on an A3 canvas panel. Parents are not allowed in the studio, so this is a drop-off gift. The trial is for first-timers only, and children must be at least 3.8 years old. The eGift card is stored value and lasts six months, the shortest of the cards that state a period.

Price: Trial class $30 (usually $45). eGift card $25, $50, $100, $150 or $200, or any amount, valid six months.

Ages 3 to 121 hourGift card from $50

Also paint-your-own pottery, with a kids' page that suggests flat pieces such as saucers and trinket trays for younger painters and asks parents of young children to stay and help. The catch for a Christmas present: its FAQ says finished pieces are ready in two to three months. The studio's own site now gives its address as 755 North Bridge Road.

Price: $33 a person for an hour of painting ($30 each for four or more), plus $8 to $17 for the piece. Gift cards of $50, $100 and $500. Their labels say "for only $45", "$85" and "$100", but the shop lists them at face value, so check the total at checkout. No validity period is stated.

Gifts for babies and toddlers

For under-3s, the gift is partly for the parent: almost every class here has an adult in the room or in the pool. That makes the time of day matter more than the price. Ask whether a weekday morning or a Sunday suits before you book.

A trial is often the right size of present at this age, because a baby who hates the water at 6 months may love it at 12. Jungle's guide to free and paid trial classes for babies and toddlers lists more.

From 4 monthsParent joinsTrial $45

A second centre in Marine Parade is not yet on Jungle.

Price: Trial class $45. Term fees are not published online.

How to give a class well

A class is a better present than a toy only if the child can use it. Six checks before you pay:

  • Check the age against the provider's own rule, not a listing. AltitudeX wants 7 on the day of the flight; Artify, 3.8 years; J2 Terrarium charges from 6.
  • Give a trial, a pack or a one-off before a term. Terms add registration fees: $60 at Yamaha, $87.20 plus a deposit at Lion City Sailors, up to $135 before GST at KGA.
  • Look at the clock. A bundle valid for one month needs a family ready to start. Wildlings credits never expire; Artify's card lasts six months.
  • Ask the parents about the schedule. BFF's guided session runs only at weekends, and Little Sailors has one weekday slot, on Wednesday evenings in Jalan Kayu. A weekday class may suit a grandparent who can take the child.
  • Ask whether the gift can move. CocoArt's card works at both studios and Wildlings credits can be shared between siblings. The Music Scientist's fees cannot be transferred.
  • Give dated workshops early. Objectifs and Palate Sensations run in late November and early December, so they are an early present, not one for under the tree.

The easiest way to give a dated workshop is to print the confirmation and wrap it with something small from the class: a paintbrush, a swim cap, a pair of climbing socks. For more ideas through the holidays, see Jungle's year end holiday camps guide and the free trial classes guide.

How we picked these

Every provider here is listed on Jungle. Each was checked on its own website, booking page or price list on 12 October 2026, and kept if it sells a gift card, voucher, trial, pack or one-off workshop with a published price that a child can use.

Facts that a provider does not publish, such as gift card validity, are marked as not stated. Grouping by budget is by the price of the gift itself; registration fees and GST are noted where they apply.
