The Christmas events Singapore families plan around are the ones that announce last. On 12 October 2026, Orchard Road's light-up, Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay, Jewel's festive programme and every mall Santa we checked still had no 2026 dates. Snow City, open for 26 years, closed for good on 30 September.
What has published is mostly the ticketed part. Two Nutcrackers, the Singapore Symphony's Christmas concerts, parent-and-child Christmas baking and six Christmas-themed camps all have dates and prices. So does the free part most families miss: some 250 decorated trees at the Botanic Gardens and a Christmas edition of Garden Rhapsody.
This guide to Christmas with kids in Singapore checks every item on the organiser's own site, read on 12 October 2026. Dates, times, prices and ages are as published. Where something is not announced, we say so rather than guess. We will refresh it in early November, when the light-ups and malls publish.

NParks' refreshed version of Trees of the World. Some 250 trees are decorated by families, companies and community groups, with light installations, themed festive displays and exhibitions around the Gardens. The trees are lit every night from 7pm to midnight. Afterwards they are replanted in parks across Singapore. The trees are spread across the Gardens, so decide which gate you will enter by before you go.
Times: 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. Trees lit daily, 7pm to midnight.
Price: Free. The Gardens are free daily from 5am to midnight. Decorating a tree yourself needs a donation of $800 or more to the Garden City Fund.

Two Christmas events, one free and one ticketed. The Christmas Train Show fills the Flower Dome with model trains running past American stations, an expanded Singapore section with two SMRT trains, and Rovaniemi, Santa's home town in Finland. Garden Rhapsody's Christmas Special sets the Supertrees to Christmas songs every night. Gardens by the Bay marks the Rhapsody dates as subject to change.
Times: Train Show 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, 9am to 9pm (last entry 8.30pm). Garden Rhapsody Christmas Special 29 November 2026 to 1 January 2027, daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm.
Price: Garden Rhapsody is free. The Train Show needs a Flower Dome ticket: $12 for adults and $8 for children aged 3 to 12 at Singapore resident rates. Non-residents buy the Flower Dome with Cloud Forest, from $46 an adult and $32 a child.

The Oceanarium runs a Christmas stamp trail and an underwater Santa dive.

Orchard Road has not announced its light-up. On 12 October the Christmas on A Great Street site still showed the 2025 edition, which switched on on 8 November. Neither the Orchard Road Business Association nor STB had published 2026 dates. We will add them when they appear.

Drama Centre Theatre, Bras Basah (central)
Ages 4 and up60 minutesEnds 21 NovFrom $22
A one-hour Christmas musical for young children. Junior, heir to the North Pole, has to wake a sleeping Santa before Grumpo the elf extinguishes Christmas, helped by Chipper the elf and Pengy the penguin. It closes on 21 November, so it is a November outing, not a December one. SRT's $50 pre-show drama workshop for 4 to 7-year-olds was sold out for its November dates on 12 October.
Times: To 21 November 2026. Monday to Friday 9.30am and 11.30am; Saturday and Sunday 11am and 2pm.
Price: Weekdays $28 to $42. Weekends and public holidays $22 to $52. 15% off a family package of four. Non-refundable.
Ages: Recommended for 4 and up. Under-4s and babies in arms still need a ticket.

Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands (central)
Ages 3 and up115 minutes26 to 29 NovFrom $68
A touring company of 60 brings the full Nutcracker, from Clara's Christmas Eve to the Sugar Plum Fairy, to Sands Theatre for four days. It is the only show here recommended for 3-year-olds, though almost two hours with an interval is a long sit at that age. Booster seats are first come, first served. Marina Bay Sands uses dynamic pricing, so the price on your date may differ.
Times: Thursday 26 and Friday 27 November, 7.30pm. Saturday 28 November, 2pm and 7.30pm. Sunday 29 November, 1pm and 5.30pm.
Price: From $68 (D Reserve, Grand Circle) to $208 (Premium with programme), before booking fees. Students, NSFs and over-60s pay $58 for C Reserve. No refunds or exchanges.
Ages: Recommended 3 and up. No admission under 3. Everyone needs a ticket.

Esplanade Theatre, Marina Bay (central)
Ages 4 and up110 minutes9 to 13 DecFrom $55
Singapore's own company dances Janek Schergen's Nutcracker with a live orchestra, the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra. It is the cheaper of the two Nutcrackers, and its weekend matinees suit children better than an 8pm start. Esplanade warns that latecomers wait for a suitable break, so arrive early.
Times: Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 December, 8pm. Saturday 12 December, 2pm and 8pm. Sunday 13 December, 1pm and 7pm.
Price: Standard $55, $75 and $95. VIP $110. Students, NSFs and seniors $44, $60 and $76 (limited). 20% off four tickets bought together.
Ages: 4 and up. No infants in arms.

The Singapore Symphony's annual Christmas concert. The first half is music from The Nutcracker, including all of Act 2, with a narrator. After the interval come Rutter's Gloria and a carol singalong with the Singapore Symphony choirs, including its children's choir. If you cannot go, it is streamed live on the SSO's YouTube channel and meWatch.
Times: Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December 2026, 7.30pm.
Price: $48, $68, $88, $108, $168 and $228, before SISTIC fees of $4 to $6 a ticket. Students pay 25% less in the two cheapest categories.

Funan, City Hall (central)
Ages 5 and up2.5 hoursFrom 12 NovFrom $50
Wild Rice's year-end family musical is a pantomime built on Journey to the West, with wushu, magic and songs, not a Christmas story. Ah Tang runs away and meets the Monkey King, Pigsy and Sandy. At two and a half hours with an interval, a 7.30pm show is a late night for a 5-year-old; the weekend matinees are easier. Wild Rice has not published a closing date.
Times: From 12 November 2026. Tuesday to Friday 7.30pm; Saturday 2.30pm and 7.30pm; Sunday 1.30pm. Audio-described performance on Saturday 12 December, 2.30pm.
Price: Previews (12 to 14 November) $50 to $95. Tuesday to Thursday $55 to $105. Friday to Sunday $60 to $120.

Christmas workshops are the slowest to publish. On 12 October one cooking school, the National Library and a handful of community clubs had dated sessions.

The school also runs a four-hour Christmas Gingerbread House class for $188 on 26 November and 20 December, without an age stated, so ask before booking a child into it.
Times: Gingerbread men, Saturday 21 November 10am and Saturday 12 December 2pm. Tree cupcakes, Sunday 29 November 2pm and Wednesday 23 December 10am. Christmas cookies, Sunday 1 November 10am and Tuesday 15 December 2pm.

NLB had loaded only 13 events of any kind for December by 12 October, so more will follow.

Christmas Day is a Friday. Christmas Eve is a working day for most parents, and most of the camps above stop by Wednesday 23 December. Prodigy is the exception.
These are the Christmas events families ask about most, and none had published 2026 details when we checked.
Snow City will not be part of anyone's Christmas this year. It closed permanently on 30 September 2026.
Every event, show, class and camp was checked on 12 October 2026 on the organiser's own website, booking system or calendar, never a roundup. Prices, dates, times and ages are as published that day. Items with no 2026 year, or with prices visible only after a login, were left out or say so. We will update this guide in early November as the light-ups, malls and libraries publish.
