Every parenting site you will read this month prices Pirate Land at $15.90 for a baby and $28.90 for a child. The poster on Pirate Land's own ticket page says $25.90 for one hour and $34.90 for two, with one adult included and babies under one free. That gap is the reason this guide exists.
The Centrepoint opened in May 1983 with Robinsons as its anchor, swapped it for Metro in 2015, and lost Metro in September 2019. Frasers now sells it as a food mall with three dining precincts, and the family floors are easy to miss: Pirate Land, WE ART and Kawai Music School on Level 4, Seimpi Education, Wolfgang Violin Studio and Trapped on Level 3, JM Taekwondo on Level 5.
There is no free playground, but there is a free reading corner on Level 2, and the mall is directly across the road from Somerset MRT, which makes it the easiest Orchard Road mall to reach with a pram.
This guide covers every kids' reason to go, place by place, with the unit, the hours and the price. Where a centre publishes no fee we say so rather than guess. For the rest of the street, read our guide to things to do with kids in Orchard Road and River Valley.

Pirate Land at #04-08 to 11 is the mall's only indoor playground and it is built round pretend play as much as climbing. The mall's directory lists a Toy Bricks Street, a Super Market and Kitchen square, a bouncing house and trampolines; the September 2026 round-ups add a ball pit, a giant slide, a pirate-ship climbing structure, a soft-play zone for babies, a laser tag area at an extra charge and a VR room.
The prices are the thing to get right. The ticket poster on Pirate Land's site, which is the only current source, says $25.90 per child for one hour and $34.90 for two hours, each including one adult. The two-hour ticket is unlimited play on weekdays and two hours on weekends and public holidays. Extra adults are $12, children under one are free, and socks are compulsory for adults and children.
A 10-visit pass is $210 for one-hour visits or $290 for two-hour visits, with no expiry. It opens 10.30am to 8pm on weekdays and to 9pm on weekends and public holidays. Pirate Land says it suits children up to 14. The toddler zone and the pretend-play streets are most of the floor, so budget it for ages 1 to 8.
Why kids will love it: Filling a trolley in the mini supermarket, then racing a sibling through the ball pit to the slide. Best for ages 2 to 6. Buy the two-hour ticket on a weekday, because it becomes an all-day ticket, and bring socks for yourself as well.

A Novel Escape at #02-49 is a reading corner the mall runs with the National Library Board, and it is the one free thing in the building for a child. The mall's listing describes a quiet space filled with books, open daily from 11am to 9pm, and gives it an end date of 30 October 2026, so check it is still there after that.
It is not a library branch: there is no borrowing, no storytime timetable and no staff. It is a place to sit a four-year-old with a picture book for 20 minutes while the older one finishes a class upstairs.
Why kids will love it: Books they have not seen before and a corner that is theirs for as long as nobody else turns up. Best for ages 3 to 8. Go on a weekday afternoon, when the older child's class is on.

Photo: Trapped Escape Room, Jungle listing
Trapped at #03-26 runs seven themed rooms of 75 minutes each, and it is the activity in the mall for a child who has outgrown Pirate Land. Rooms take 3 to 12 players and a booking needs at least three paying players; two people can book but pay for three. Children under four are not admitted, players aged 7 and up are charged, and anyone 12 or under needs an adult in the room.
The September 2026 price poster says $28.90 per person before GST ($31.50 after) on weekdays from 11am to 6pm, and $34.90 ($38.04) after 6pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays. Students aged 21 and under pay the off-peak rate after 6pm, except on public holidays.
Pick the room with care. Alchemist's Cabinet of Curiosities is the family one: no horror, a thrill rating of 2 out of 5 and a difficulty of 4. The Great Escape is a prison break with a live actor and a thrill rating of 4. Cursed Video Tape and Asylum are horror rooms. Trapped's own site calls its rooms suitable from four; we would not take anyone under eight.
Why kids will love it: A room that is theirs to solve, a countdown clock, and the moment the hidden door opens. Best for ages 8 to 14 with two adults in the team. Book a weekday afternoon in the school holidays for the off-peak price.

The rest of the family floor is retail and claw machines.
There is no toy shop in the Toys"R"Us sense and no children's clothes shop; for those, Forum is one MRT stop west and five minutes on foot from Orchard station.
Five enrichment centres operate here, plus Amass Learning at #04-12, an English tuition centre for PSLE, O and A Level, opened 15 September 2026. One is on Jungle and comes first. Two of the other four offer a free trial; one gives away a $60 lesson until 31 October.

Photo: WE ART, Jungle listing
WE ART at #04-02/03/03A is the art studio on the same floor as Pirate Land. Little Explorers takes children aged 5 to 9 through famous paintings and the painters behind them, Teen Art Studio covers 10 to 19 with acrylics, watercolour, printmaking and craft, and there are DSA and portfolio streams for older students.
Classes run in two formats: flexible sessions capped at five children, where you choose the day and time each week, and term classes of five to ten with a four-week commitment. Materials are included. The trial is a 90-minute introduction; the price is not on the site.
The holiday camps are the easiest way in. The October 2026 camp runs 10am to 3pm with lunch on 7 to 9, 14 to 16, 21 to 23 and 28 to 30 October, in three bands (4 to 7, 8 to 11 and 12 and up), at $90 for a day or $270 for three days, $240 early bird.
Why kids will love it: Painting their own version of The Scream, then building a clay dessert that looks good enough to eat. Best for ages 5 to 11. Book the Wednesday-to-Friday camp block rather than single days; the three activities build on each other.

Seimpi Education at #03-16/17 is the headquarters of a group that started as Seimpi School of Music in 2002, and it is the centre to trial first. Until 31 October 2026 it is offering a free introductory lesson, valued at $60, in piano, violin or one of its MIM music programmes to first-time students aged 3 and up, booked by WhatsApp on 9028 2308.
MIM, short for Music for the Intelligent Mind, is the group's own method for children from four months to seven years, teaching keyboard skills and note reading before an instrument is chosen. Beyond music the centre runs MIM Speech and Drama in English and Chinese, Chinese, English and Maths tuition, and a WISE playgroup that mixes English, Chinese, drama, art and music. Term fees are not published.
Why kids will love it: Sitting at a real piano on the first visit, and a teacher who treats a three-year-old as a musician. Best for ages 3 to 7 who are not ready for a one-to-one instrument lesson yet.

Wolfgang Violin Studio has two sets of units on Level 3, #03-01A/02 and #03-45 to 47, and is the strings specialist of the mall. Founded in 2009 by violinist Min Lee, it teaches violin, cello and piano from age 3 in three tiers: Beginner from 3, Academy from Grade 1 to Diploma, and Young Talents for the ones who are going somewhere with it.
Students join the studio's own orchestras, and the exam and DSA stream covers violin, viola and cello. A trial is booked through the site; neither the trial price nor the term fees are published.
Why kids will love it: A violin that fits a three-year-old, and a studio orchestra to aim for. Best for ages 3 to 10 whose parents want a syllabus rather than a jam.

Kawai Music School at #04-01 has taught in Singapore since 1980 and runs both individual and group lessons in piano, violin, guitar, drums, ukulele and singing, with Music for Little Mozarts as the entry class for the youngest. It is open seven days, until 9pm on most weekdays, which makes it the easiest music school in the mall to fit round a working parent.
Robert Piano, the Kawai dealer, is three doors along at #04-13 to 15 if you need the instrument. Kawai's website was under maintenance when we checked on 1 October 2026 and shows no fees.
Why kids will love it: Group lessons, so there is another five-year-old at the next keyboard. Best for ages 4 to 8 starting from nothing.

Ages: 3 to adult.
JM Taekwondo at #05-03 teaches taekwondo, K-pop dance and ballet with Korean instructors, which is an unusual mix for one studio, and its hours are built round school: weekdays 3pm to 7pm, weekends 10am to 6pm. The mall's directory describes the taekwondo as patterns, board breaking, kicking and blocking from the first lessons.
The studio's own website was offline when we checked on 1 October 2026; booking is through a Google form linked from the mall's directory, and the only price information anywhere is "enquire".
Why kids will love it: Board breaking from the first lessons, and the K-pop class next door for the sibling who refuses to kick. Best for ages 5 to 12.

Frasers calls The Centrepoint a food mall, and its directory lists more than 30 places to eat across Basement 1, Level 1 and Levels 2, 3 and 5. One has a real children's price. None runs a kids-eat-free deal, and there is no McDonald's, no KFC and no Swensen's.
Malaysia Boleh! at #B1-13 is the food court, a hawker-style hall of Malaysian street food stalls open 8am to 9pm daily, which makes it the only place in the mall serving breakfast before Pirate Land opens. It is loud, cheap and quick, with the char kway teow, chicken rice and roti a child will eat without negotiation.
The mall does not list it as halal-certified; The Dim Sum Place at #B1-07 and Bird Avenue at #B1-18, both halal, are a few doors along.
Why kids will love it: Choosing their own stall and carrying their own tray. Best for any age. Come before noon or after 2pm to avoid the office lunch crowd.

GoroGoro at #03-43 is a steamboat and Korean buffet with seven soup bases, and the only restaurant in the mall with a published child price. Children under 100cm eat free, and children of 100cm to 140cm pay $9.90++ at lunch and $15.90++ at dinner against an adult price of $18.90++ at lunch, $28.90++ at dinner Monday to Thursday and $29.90++ on Friday to Sunday, eves and public holidays.
Lunch is 90 minutes; dinner is 90 minutes for two or three people and 110 for four or more. Two paying diners is the minimum. Those figures are from the price table on the operator's site, which is dated 2023, so confirm them when you book.
Through October 2026 a "2+2" promotion seats four at 1.30pm for lunch, or 5.30pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends for dinner, with the two lowest-paying diners free and an 80-minute limit.
Why kids will love it: Cooking their own dinner in a pot, one dumpling at a time. Best for ages 4 to 12 with an adult minding the pot. Measure your child before you go; 100cm is the whole bill.
