The indoor playground most parenting sites still list at AMK Hub, eXplorerkid at #04-02, closed on 1 July 2018. Level 4, beside the Cathay cinema and Timezone, shut in July 2024 and reopened in December 2025 as a civic floor: a ServiceSG centre, a rehabilitation gym and, from 20 November 2026, the relocated Ang Mo Kio Public Library. If you are driving in for a ball pit, do not.
Here is the part the directories miss. AMK Hub is the busiest enrichment floor in the north-east that nobody writes about. Level 3 holds 11 kids' centres within a hundred metres of each other: two music schools, a Royal Academy of Dance ballet school, a creative-writing school, taekwondo, phonics, Mandarin, art, two tuition chains and a yoga studio.
Jollyfields by Zoomoov and the Kopitiam food court are on the same floor. The mall sits directly above Ang Mo Kio MRT and the bus interchange, which is why a Saturday on Level 3 looks like a school car park.
This guide covers every kids' reason to go, place by place, with the unit, the hours and the price. Where a centre publishes no fee we say so rather than guess. For the parks, pools and the rest of the town, read our guide to things to do with kids in Bishan and Ang Mo Kio.

Jollyfields by Zoomoov on Level 3. Photo: Zoomoov, Jungle listing
Jollyfields is Zoomoov's farming-themed play pit on Level 3, and it is the only indoor play inside AMK Hub. The pit is filled with cassia seeds rather than balls, with digging tools, funnels, spinning wheels, wheelbarrows, sorting bins and harvesting trees, built around what Zoomoov calls D.I.G: discover, imaginative play and gross motor skills. Zoomoov's motorised animal rides, the pandas, dinosaurs and PAW Patrol vehicles that circle the mall's corridors, run from the same counter.
Two catches. Socks are compulsory, and staff hand out a free pair. The ticket is a minimum of two hours, with unused time saved for a later visit, and Zoomoov's own site does not publish the price; Google reviews from 2025 quote $50 for the two-hour ticket. Reviews also complain of late openings, so call before a 10.30am start.
Why kids will love it: Burying their arms to the elbow in a pit of seeds, filling a wheelbarrow and tipping it out again, then riding a dinosaur past the Kopitiam. Best for ages 1 to 6. A seven-year-old will be bored in 20 minutes. Bring a change of clothes, because the seeds get everywhere.

Ages: 1 to 7.
Nearest MRT: Ang Mo Kio (NS16), underpass, 2 minutes.
eXplorerkid at #04-02 was NTUC Club's indoor playground for children under 12, with a glowing ball pool, a climbing wall, a rope course and a "ball 'o city" of foam-ball cannons. It was the reason families came to AMK Hub, and it is still listed as open on at least two parenting directories.
NTUC Club closed every eXplorerkid outlet on 1 July 2018. The Level 4 it occupied closed in its turn in July 2024, when Cathay Cineplexes and Timezone left, and reopened in December 2025 with a ServiceSG centre, a stroke rehabilitation gym and the temporary library node. The new Ang Mo Kio Public Library takes the old cinema space from 20 November 2026.
Why kids will love it: Nothing to love. We keep this entry so you do not plan a wet afternoon around it. The nearest free play is the library's children's section when it opens in November, and until then the pit at Jollyfields on Level 3 is the only indoor play in the building.

Opening hours: Closed since 1 July 2018. The space is now part of the Level 4 civic floor.
Price: Free entry to the Level 4 library node that replaced it. The playground's own fees ended in 2018.
Ages: Was under 12.
Nearest MRT: Ang Mo Kio (NS16), underpass, 2 minutes.
The rest of the family floor is small things. Zoomoov's animal rides circle the mall's corridors. Fun Claw at #B1-39/40/41 is a room of claw machines open 10am to 10pm, which is a $2 bribe for a child who has sat through a sibling's lesson.
PLAYe at #02-30/31 sells video games, collectible toys and gadgets, which is what a nine-year-old actually wants. FairPrice Xtra at #B2-40 is open 24 hours and has a toy aisle, a pharmacy and the cheapest socks in the mall if you forgot them for Jollyfields. There is no Kiddy Palace and no Toys"R"Us.
Twelve enrichment centres operate in the mall, 11 of them on Level 3 and one on Level 2. Five are on Jungle and come first below, with the unlisted ones after. Three offer a free trial. The nursing room is on the same floor.

Photo: Aureus Academy, Jungle listing
Aureus Academy at #03-03 is the first door you meet on Level 3 and the only centre in the mall that publishes its prices. Lessons are one-to-one in piano, violin, guitar, drums and voice, with a Musical Adventure group class for the youngest.
Three monthly packages of four lessons: 30 minutes at $279, 45 minutes at $399 and 60 minutes at $519, with books, the Aureus progress portal and a certificate at each stage included. The trial lesson is free. Over the June 2026 holidays the mall advertised four free lessons on the spot for anyone who enrolled after the trial, so ask what the current offer is.
Why kids will love it: A drum kit they are allowed to hit, and a teacher who writes the lesson around the song they asked for. Best for ages 5 and up who want an instrument rather than a music-and-movement class.

Photo: Cristofori Music School, Jungle listing
Cristofori at #03-21 is the heritage brand, founded in 1980, with the largest music school network in Singapore and a studio piano in every room. It teaches piano, violin, guitar, drums, ukulele and music theory, with graded exam preparation as the spine of the programme. Group piano for ages 3 to 7 runs under the I Can Play and Poppy Piano names.
The AMK Hub branch is a licensed school, which Cristofori says may charge different fees from its own branches. Fees are not published; Skoolopedia's June 2026 review puts them at $280 to $620 a term depending on level and format.
Why kids will love it: Playing on a real upright from the first lesson, and a grade certificate to wave about. Best for ages 4 to 10 who are starting piano and whose parents want the exam ladder laid out.

Photo: The Ballet School Singapore, Jungle listing
The Ballet School at #03-22/23 is a Royal Academy of Dance approved examination centre, which means a child can sit RAD grades in the same studio she trains in. Tots Ballet takes children from 2.5 to 4 with creative movement, Pre-Primary Junior covers 4 to 6, and the RAD graded programme starts at 6 for children with prior training.
Above that are vocational grades, an Elite programme by annual audition and competition classes. It is a syllabus school, not a dance-and-play class: expect uniform rules and a hair bun.
Why kids will love it: Pink shoes, a proper barre and a yearly performance on a real stage. Best for ages 3 to 8 who respond to structure, and for any child whose parent wants graded exams.

Photo: Writers' Guild, Jungle listing
Writers' Guild at #03-09/24 is an English and creative writing school for Primary 1 to Secondary, run by a former MOE subject head, with a P1 preparatory class for K2 children. Its pitch is techniques-based composition: structure, vocabulary and the examiner's mark scheme, taught through workshops rather than worksheets, plus holiday writing camps.
It carries 5 stars from 290 Google reviews on its Jungle listing, and it is the one to look at if your Primary 4 child's composition marks have stalled. Fees are not published.
Why kids will love it: Writing a story that gets read aloud, not marked in red. Best for ages 7 to 12, and a good fit for the reader who hates writing.

Photo: Platinum Yoga, Jungle listing
Platinum Yoga at #03-20 is an adult hot yoga and pilates studio, and it belongs in this guide for one reason: it runs kids' yoga classes, and Jungle lists it for teenagers from 13 who can join the regular timetable.
The studio publishes adult pricing only, class cards from $14 a class and memberships from $3.33 a day, and its free trial pass excludes the kids' yoga sessions. Ask the front desk for the kids' schedule, because it is not online.
Why kids will love it: A 13-year-old doing the same class as a parent, in a studio with showers and towels, rather than a children's version. Best for ages 13 to 18. Younger children should ask about the kids' class before paying for anything.

Ages: 13 to 18 on the regular timetable.
Kicks Taekwondo at #03-14A is the martial arts option on the floor, next door to the Fight Zone Muay Thai gym at #03-14, which is adults only. Classes are banded by age: a Toddler class for 4 to 7, a Kids class for 7 to 12, and teens and adults from 13, with sparring from green belt.
The studio is closed on Mondays and opens from 3pm on weekdays, so it suits after-school rather than pre-school. Fees and trial terms are not on the site.
Why kids will love it: Kicking a pad as hard as they like and being praised for it. Best for ages 4 to 10, and a good first martial art for a child who needs to run before they can sit.

The free trial class on registration, with the first year's materials fee waived, was advertised until 30 September 2026, so ask whether it has been extended. Fees are not published.

Classes are capped at 12, the rooms have a drama corner, and the teaching leans on role play and games rather than copying characters. Trial lessons are booked through the site. It is the centre to know if you want one place for two children of different ages. Fees are not published.
Why kids will love it: They will not, especially. The abacus and speech and drama classes are the fun end. Best for ages 5 to 12 whose parents want a tuition centre within a lift ride of the MRT.

Two more tuition centres round out the 12. Mavis Tutorial Centre at #03-04 prepares children for PSLE, O and A levels and runs pre-school enrichment, open Mon to Fri 2pm to 9.30pm and weekend mornings. Stalford Learning Centre at #02-55/56/59 is the one centre not on Level 3, open until 10pm on weekdays. Both are enquiry-only on fees.
Three of the 12 offer a free trial. For the island-wide list, read our guide to free trial classes for kids in Singapore. Browse AMK Hub classes on Jungle.
AMK Hub has more than 90 food outlets across four floors, and one real children's menu. There is no kids-eat-free deal anywhere in the building: Swensen's runs one, but only at its Unlimited buffets at VivoCity, Changi Airport and Geneo, not here.
What the mall does have is a food court on the class floor, a second one in the basement, and the fast-food trio of Jollibee, MOS Burger and Pepper Lunch for a child who will only eat chicken.
Kopitiam at #03-12 is the mall's main food court, 25 stalls under skylights and full-length windows, renovated and open from 8am to 10pm. It is 30 seconds from every centre on Level 3, which makes it the pre-class dinner for half the building at 6pm on a weekday. Halal stalls, a kaya toast counter, Japanese, Korean and the usual chicken rice and fishball noodles.
Why kids will love it: Choosing their own stall and carrying their own tray. Best for any age. Go before 5.30pm or after 7.30pm on weekdays, when the class pick-up crowd has gone.

Kids' sundaes are on the same page. It is halal, it has high chairs, and it is open until 10.30pm.
